Concept
Art is personal. 2018 turned out to be a year of loss for us, and we embarked on a journey to turn this loss into an homage for our departed.
X is our reinterpretation of the Aztec psychopomp: the Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican hairless dog).
Through him, we explored the journey of the Tonalli (vital energy) through Mictlan (the Aztec underworld).

A growing community allowed this experience to become a memorable celebration, with more than 40 artists lending their talent to X and creating one of a kind versions of him.
Our life sized version awaited all the passing souls behind the Apanohuaia river, guarded by Mictecacihuatl and Mictlantecuhtli (the Lady and Lord of Mictlan).
